How to apply a liquid wallpaper?
The algorithm is quite simple:
- In order to obtain a paste-like composition of the desired consistency, mix the packing of the dry mixture with 7-8 liters of water (depending on the instructions for use) in a plastic container. Soak the package completely, not partially. The volume of the package is about 4 m °. Mix it manually so that moisture is distributed evenly. Allow the "paste" to infuse for 8-12 hours.
- Stir the formulation again before use.
- How to apply wallpaper in the home? Application is made by a plastic float. Scoop up a small amount of "wallpaper", lay not a grater. With reciprocating movements, smooth the material over the wall. The average layer is 1-3 mm. The work should start from the corner part. Work will be easier if the grater is periodically wetted with water.
Do not throw away the leftovers. Dry the knead and pack it in a package for repair, if necessary.
- How to apply liquid wallpaper to the ceiling? The technology is similar for ceiling finishing.
- For complete drying it will take about 2 days. The composition will dry out unevenly, so do not worry that the finish may be slightly different in color. After drying, the wall (ceiling) will obtain a uniform color. To speed up this process, ventilate the room, create a draft.
- If you want to create a picture, prepare a template for this. Attach it to the wall, along the contour, apply the main background of the liquid wallpaper. Allow to dry a little. Delete the template, fill this area with a mixture of another color. Be especially careful not to damage the edges. The thickness of the layer should be the same.
The following finish is obtained:
- This material is easy to repair. Any contaminated or mechanically damaged fragment can easily be recovered. Dried remnants of the filler are useful here. The area to be replaced must be moistened, let it get a little wet. When the finish has become plastic, remove the unnecessary spatula and apply new liquid wallpaper. When the surface dries, the difference between the main background and the new fragment will be invisible.
