Dreadlocks-pigtails

To stand out from the crowd and to surprise with their appearance of others many young people aspire. One of the tried and tested methods was and still is the braiding of dreadlocks.

How did dreadlocks come about?

The first known facts, where dreadlocks are mentioned, originate in Ancient Egypt. They became more common in the 50s of the last century, when one of the sects began to make such a hairstyle as a symbol of its belonging to it.

Types of dreadlocks

Today, the masters distinguish 5 types:

  1. Natural dreadlocks-pigtails are a classic. Create them from their own natural hair and from a kanekalon. The procedure is a little unpleasant, and it's quite problematic to get rid of them.
  2. Safe dreadlocks - they are kind of "put on" their hair. They also wove from the kanekalon. The main advantage is that when creating such dregs-braids, your own locks are not damaged, they can also be removed easily.
  3. Felt dreadlocks - are worn on their locks, as well as with a safe weaving. Of course, such dreadlocks have a slightly unnatural appearance, but are easily removed.
  4. Double - weave like a natural, but one part is taken from their hair, the other from a kanekalon, which are then spirally intertwined.
  5. Industrial dreadlocks - are made on an iron frame. They have a very interesting appearance, but it is very inconvenient to sleep with them.

Care for dreadlocks, too, will have to, because they need a "rolling", which should be carried out daily. Monthly you need to undergo the procedure of weaving. Safe and felt covers need to be replaced every three months.

Another common type of braiding hair are African braids, which are also called dreadlocks, although this is not entirely true. A variety of kinds of weaving (about 8), and bold color solutions will also help to stand out.
