Venetian decorative plaster

Of all types of plasters, lovers of good quality and expensive finishes especially highlight the Venetian plaster. Why? Let's try to answer this question.

Venetian decorative plaster

It should be said that this type of decorative plaster refers to a segment of fairly expensive finishing materials. This is due to the composition of the plaster mixture itself, which includes marble chips, and special application technology, and the need to treat the plastered surface with specific substances (waxes). But, nevertheless, the final result is worth it. Walls with a decorative coating of Venetian plaster acquire the appearance of decorated with expensive marble. Moreover, an additional decorative effect can be achieved by changing the way of applying decorative Venetian plaster for the walls. In this case, the plaster itself can be smooth and textured, matte and glossy. The only thing that should be considered is that the plastering process should be carried out with strict adherence to a specific technology.

Application of decorative Venetian plaster

In order not to spoil the entire decorative effect of Venetian plaster, the indispensable condition for its application is the super-thorough performance of preparatory work, the wall must be perfectly even. This is due to the fact that the plaster mixture itself is transparent and even the smallest and minor flaws of the surface to be treated are visible under it. The plaster is applied with several strokes in a number of layers, the number of which can reach 10 (the more layers, the more likely the effect of marble). After complete drying of the plastered surface, a layer of natural beeswax is applied (only natural! - this is important). At the same time, the plaster becomes completely waterproof, it can even be cleaned and washed using household chemicals.
