Curtains with your own hands from improvised materials

We all know that curtains are designed to protect the room from sunlight. However, there is one more function for curtains: zoning space. For this, curtains can be hung on doorways or even in the middle of the room. And if you make such curtains with your own hands from improvised materials, then your guests will be delighted with such an original element of the decor of the room.

What are such curtains made of? Original curtains can be built with their own hands from postcards and clips, from tubes and beads, from buttons and plugs from bottles, from candy wrappers and other small objects. Let's look at how you can make a threaded blind .

How to make curtains?

In order to build a blind with their own hands from improvised means, we need the following materials:

  1. We measure the width and length of the window or door, on which our future curtain will hang, and calculate the required number of threads. If you use knitting threads, then you need to take 8-10 pieces for one centimeter. If they are cut strips of fabric, then they will need 3-5 pieces per 1 cm. We cut the necessary number of threads.
  2. The threads that you cut must be glued to tape or duct tape. So they will not be confused with each other.
  3. After all the necessary number of threads are glued, the second half of the adhesive tape is bent and fastened with the first so that the tape from above overlaps the glued threads. We fix both parts of the tape with a stapler.
  4. Fold the satin ribbon in half and, wrapping it around the scotch with threads, firmly sew.
  5. In the upper corner of the thread curtain, you can tie a beautiful bow from the same satin ribbon.
  6. This will look like a curtain for the door, made by own hands from improvised means.
  7. And so the curtain of threads can decorate your window.

Such beautiful and stylish curtains-threads can be hung in the apartment and at the cottage. Depending on what color you choose, curtains can become a bright accent in the overall design of the room, or bring lightness, tenderness and romance to the interior.
