Facade exterior plaster is considered a popular building material. It gives the walls strength. The main components of the external plaster of the house are cement, sand, lime and water. Due to this composition it is fire-resistant, waterproof, resistant to mold and fungi. The external surface will protect the building from rain, it will withstand frost. Types of external plaster
There are several types of mixtures for exterior finishing of the house with plaster.
- Acrylic has a large selection of color tones, elastic, differs good vapor permeability.
- Silicone is characterized by high quality, the most expensive form of mixtures based on polymeric binders.
- Silicate is based on liquid potassium glass, does not attract dirt and dust.
- Mineral is produced in the form of a mixture of filler crumb and cement or lime. This is a fairly solid coating, but has a limited range of colors.
The application methods for outdoor mixtures are the same. Most often, a rough or embossed texture is performed. For performance of works on external decorative plaster the platen for leveling, graters, brushes or sponges for giving of a relief of a surface is used. Depending on the specifics of the pattern of layers there should be several. After application, the decorative plaster, intended for external walls, can be varnished or additionally painted, this significantly increases its strength.
Facade plaster is cheaper than other materials, a large range of dyes and additives will give the structure an original and modern look. This finish will additionally protect and warm the walls, looks aesthetically and neatly.
