How to make curtains on the windows with your own hands?
For the manufacture of such curtains, we will need: a printed cotton one and a half meters wide, thread, needle, pins, adhesive tape, centimeter, scissors, light wooden or metal rod and curtain rod for curtains.
- Cut out the curtains of future curtains, turn the side edges inside out first by 2 cm, then again by 3 cm. We prick it with a pin, iron it and sew on the sewing machine.
- From the top edge of the curtain we measure 20 cm. On the wrong side lay the crease, puncture the pins and sew it. The same thing should be done on the bottom edge of the curtains.
- On the front side of the upper edge of the curtain we put a sticky tape, pin it with pins and sew.
- Having wrapped the upper edge on the wrong side, we break both layers with pins and spread it over the adhesive tape.
- The lower edge of the curtain is wrapped inside out at a width of 2 cm, and then another 4 cm. Puncture the pins and sew on the typewriter.
- Using the needles, sew the rings to the hem along the bottom edge of the curtain, placing them symmetrically in the middle, every 20 cm.
- We form the rod for the rod on the bottom edge of the curtains. To do this, at a distance of 2 cm from the edge of the file we make a seam. We insert a rod into the kulis, it will be located between the folds of the curtain.
- Hang the curtain over the cornice, gluing both parts of the adhesive tape. In each ring, thread the cord, securing it to the lower ring. We collect the bottom edge of the curtains in the buffers, pulling the cords to the desired length for this.
