Filling of nitrate

It is no secret that the success of growing most of the crops is largely dependent on the introduction of additional fertilizing. One of the most popular among mineral fertilizers is saltpetre. Let's get to know her closer.

What is fertilizer of saltpeter?

In fact, nitre is most often understood as ammonium nitrate. This substance, released in the form of granules or powder, is also called ammonium nitrate or ammonium nitrate. Saltpeter is a source of nitrogen, the main nutrient for plants, their growth, development. In addition, the addition of ammonium nitrate promotes an increase in the crop yield and the duration of fruiting. By the way, saltpetre is one of the most universal mineral fertilizers: it is inexpensive, effective, completely soluble in water. It contains 34% nitrogen.

Application of fertilizer nitrate

Ammonium nitrate is used as a fertilizer for almost all crops and all types of soils (except podzolic). Usually, ammonium nitrate is applied in the spring when sown, and then as a fertilizer. By the way, fertilizer nitrate is better combined with potassium and phosphorus to achieve greater yield.

As for the dosage, ammonium nitrate with a soil seal is usually dispersed in an amount of 10-20 g per 1 m & sup2 cultivated soil. On unorganized lands, the amount of saltpeter can be increased to 30-50 g per m & sup2. When planting seedlings in each hole is recommended to make 3-4 g of fertilizer. In the future, as a top dressing, 30 g of ammonium nitrate is dissolved in 10 liters of water and this solution is watered with 10 m & sup2 soils. Saltpeter can first be spread over the surface of the soil, and then pour the necessary amount of water. But in any case, do not increase these dosages alone.

Please note that in the form of foliar feeding, ammonium nitrate can not be used! This will result in a burn of the plants. Do not use saltpeter to feed zucchini , cucumber, pumpkin, which can accumulate harmful to health nitrates.
