Despite this, Judge Denise Coote, who ruled on the case of the ex-congressman, sentenced him to 21 months in jail. Denis commented her decision after the meeting:
"The prosecution insisted on giving Wiener the maximum penalty, however, to get a ten-year sentence, a person must commit something very bad. With regard to Mr. Wiener, the court took his testimony into account and concluded that it would be sufficient if he stayed in prison for 21 months. This period should be enough to rethink his behavior with regard to sexting with minors. "
By the way, Anthony in his address to the judge in the case, which was considered yesterday, said that this episode of sexting is nothing but a misunderstanding. Wiener actually planned to communicate on intimate topics with a stranger, sending her photos of his genitals, but at the time of the beginning of "friendship" he could not imagine that she was a minor. The juvenile was so overwhelmed by what was happening that she offered him to himself as a person with whom to practice sexting.
