Owners of private cottages rush to acquire spacious garages in which it will be possible to place several cars, tools, bicycles and other important things. However, during the design of the garage you want to maximally functionally use the allocated space and then saves the garage option with the attic. The second attic floor can be used at personal discretion, setting up a workshop, laundry room, work area, etc.
Advantages of a mansard garage
Compared to a classic garage, this building has many advantages, namely:
- significantly increases the total usable area;
- The building looks more presentable;
- due to the stairs, quick access from the garage to the second floor is provided;
- from the attic you can make a full functional room.
Depending on the preferences, the second floor can be arranged according to one of the scenarios:
- Warehouse space. If you are irritated by the tools and parts scattered over the garage from the car, you can take it all to the second floor. There you can also equip shelves for storing small parts, install a Bulgarian and a stand for assembling the engine.
- Residential premises. Since the garage is not heated, it is possible to equip only the summer room. Here you can equip a guest bedroom, study or living room in which children and friends will rest. A garage with a residential attic will also help you out when relatives unexpectedly visit you, and there is not enough space in the house to accommodate them.
- Art workshop. A separate workshop is a luxury for many houses, so it is often arranged separately from the living quarters. In the attic, this room will look very organic, and the view from the window to the courtyard, perhaps, will inspire the creation of new landscapes.
