On the main roles in the film, George invited Julianne Moore and Matt Damon. Apparently, they agreed, because one of them, Moore, the paparazzi was found on the set.

As planned a year ago, the shooting began in October 2016. The main scenes will be filmed in Los Angeles, because it is in this city that the film's events unfold.
The output of the picture "Suburbicon" is planned for 2017 under the Russian name "The icon of the suburbs". The plot is still kept secret, but Clooney said that this is a story about an ordinary family that will be dragged into a criminal story. After this event, the life of ordinary people will change forever, and fear, distrust towards one another, blackmail, betrayal and revenge will settle in their house.
Writers of the picture were brothers Cohen. In addition to Moore and Damon, viewers will see Oscar Isaac, Woody Harrelson, Josh Brolin and many other famous actors on screen.
