Not so long ago, our man appreciated the idea, which was proposed by Swedish designers. This is a great solution if you do not want to use a sofa as a sleeping place. To decorate a bedroom in a niche of a one-room apartment, choose a corner where there are no windows on the walls and put partitions of plasterboard. The area of the fenced-off area is about 6 sq.m, so there can only fit a bed. And then everything depends only on the imagination of the designer. You can decorate these walls with large mirrors, decorate one wall with a sliding partition, cover with contrasting wallpaper.

There, as a rule, put expensive things to heart: figurines, frames with photos, pictures . Sometimes a niche occupies the entire wall at the head of the bed and even aquariums are placed in its side parts. It is very convenient to use not only a spotlight, but install a pair of fixtures. Then you can safely read at night.
- If the size of the room allows, you can use a variant of the gypsum board niche in the bedroom as a way of dividing the room into separate zones. For example, sometimes in the bedroom there is a small study, a library. Also, such functional grooves in the wall are used for TV and even as a cabinet. This design has only one minus - it eats a lot of space.

Here we start from the characteristics of the room: high ceilings allow for a horizontal layout, but in smaller bedrooms it is better to give preference to square or elongated vertical niches.

Do not overshadow the inside of the notch too much, pick up the color a few tones darker. When creating a bedroom design with a niche, it is worth considering the following points:
- be sure to use two types of light source: dotted for decorative purposes and easy illumination of space, and more bright wall lamps for reading;
- if you decide to use a niche as a cabinet, be sure to provide boxes for things under the bed, at the bottom of the entire structure;
- for a light room, you can use a wood-covered cover and decorate the entire bedroom in one style, for small rooms it is better to refuse for such a solution in favor of light colors;
- To enhance the feeling of the gypsum boardboard niche in the bedroom in the head area, the top or entire perimeter of the notch can be decorated with a darker color.
