Saint Cosmas Aetolia predicted a financial crisis and a bloody war in the beginning of the 21st century

Saint Cosmas of Aetolius said that he would kill humanity during the forthcoming Third World War.

Most of the surviving prophecies of Orthodox elders tell about the attitude of people of the future to faith, mortal sins, wars and diseases. Only a few of them, who achieved higher enlightenment, were given the talent to predict the global problems of mankind. Among them stands Kosma Etolijsky, who was able to look into the future and talk about such details, about which modern people are even afraid to think.

Biography of St. Cosmas Aetolian

The future saint was born in 1714 in Greece. He lived in a poor family, so even in his youth he remained illiterate. At the age of 20 he moved to a neighboring village and asked the local priest Ananias to teach him the alphabet. He helped Kosme not only to learn writing and reading, but also to become a teacher of the Athos Academy, which was opened in 1743 on the holy Mount Athos. When his teaching exhausted him, Constance (so called parents Cosmo), retired to live in the monastery Philotheus. For two years of his life in the monastery, Kosma understood that life in renunciation was not his calling.

Since 1759 Kosma settled in Constantinople and became an enlightener. His sermons became so popular that no church could accommodate. Kosma drove a cross into the ground and put a bench beside him: standing on it, he spent hours tirelessly preaching the word of God. In every new city he drove a new cross, which remained after him, as a reminder of God. Some of these crosses have survived to this day.

The Greek nobility did not like the preaching of Kosma: they worried the population, forcing people to think about the true nature of the actions of their rulers. Kosma opposed slave labor, work on weekends, usury, because of which the population became impoverished. August 24, 1779 he was seized and hanged on invented hastily charged with spying on the Russians.

What did Saint Cosmas predict?

In the notes of Cosmas Aetolian one can find only prophecies about the distant future. Saint little interested in the fate of contemporaries, because he knew what incredible events will have to survive the future generations in the beginning of the XXI century. Some of his amazing predictions have already come true, with other humanity only to face face to face.

"They will lend you a lot of money and demand it back, but they can not take it."

This statement Kosmas Aetolsky refers to the financial crisis that overtook Greece several years ago. The United States infected the whole world with a love of life on credit - from ordinary people with their loans for household appliances and permits, to leaders of European countries with a shortage of money for social payments. Greece fell into direct dependence on the international banking system, but is not able to meet its obligations. The collapse of one country will inevitably bring with it international financial problems.

"They will charge you with a large, intolerable tax, but they will not be able to achieve their own. A tax will be imposed even by hens and windows. "

Large members of the European Union, lending to neighboring impoverished countries, require them to introduce a rigid system of economy and increase tax obligations. In the same Greece, for example, the real estate tax increases in proportion to the number of windows and pets in the house.

"People will become poor, because they will not have a love for animals and plants."

Volunteers around the world are fighting for animal rights against the backdrop of the prevailing indifference to the problems of homeless cats and dogs in society. Teenagers and young people quite often treat them as inanimate things: every week in the media you can find a message about the farmers or doghanters who take out their anger at those who can not rebuff. Such sentiments among the younger generation are an alarming signal of spiritual poverty and dissatisfaction with one's own life.

"The time will come, and you will not learn anything."

Printed media and the Internet today form the opinion of the masses, who do not have time to analyze the information received. Most people read the news and unreservedly believe them, without even trying to question what they heard or seen. The media justifies the title of "new branch of power" - they can set up one country against another with a loud title and several lines of text.

"We will see how our land turns into Sodom and Gomorrah."

Representatives of all religions in one voice say that the decreased level of morality promises a surge of depravity in the coming years. Idols for people were stars with their stormy personal life and videoblogers raising questions of sex, permissiveness and instilling youth fashion for drugs and free love. Perversions become fashionable because they are supported by celebrities and advanced media.

"There will come a time when there will be no former consent between the priests and the laity. The priests will become the same as ordinary laymen, and the laity will become like wild beasts. The time of the Antichrist will come. "

Priests prefer expensive cars, brand watches and rest at foreign resorts to the modest service of the church.

Kosma all his life was afraid of exactly this development of events: he saw in spiritual decline the commemoration of the appearance of Antichrist on earth. He claimed that even after hundreds of years the priests should find the strength to give up earthly pleasures and spend days and nights praying to the Lord.

Cosmas Aetolian revealed the secret of preventing the apocalypse:

"As a shepherd watches over her sheep, so the priest should visit the houses of Christians day and night, not eat and drink, taking their things, but on the contrary, if the husband quarreled with his wife, father and son, brother and brother, neighbor with neighbor, to strive to establish love between them. "
"You will see how people, like black birds, fly through the sky and throw down the flames on the ground. Then the living will run to the cemetery and they will shout: "Come out, you dead, so that we, alive, will come to your place!"

St. Kosma did not believe that mankind would confine itself to two world wars - he knew that the arms race would lead to the third, most bloody conflict. High technology will create aircraft, in front of which modern military fighters look like innocent children's toys. Then a war will be unleashed, capable of making the living envious of those who have already died. It is a pity that Kosma did not tell the exact date of its beginning ...
