It is impossible not to believe in miracles after learning about the tragic stories of people who ended in salvation. At first they may seem like a film script, but this is a reality, and the evidence does exist.
Life is unpredictable, we do not know what will happen in an hour, a day or a week, so no one is immune from getting into a critical and dangerous situation. Some stories about saving people seem like a real miracle, which is even hard to believe. Presented below, few people are left indifferent.
1. Tragedy in the Norwegian Sea
In 1984, Gudlaugur Fridtorsson and his friends went fishing on the southern coast of Iceland. Their schooner hit a storm and rolled over. All people died in cold water, except for Fridtorsson, who was able to get to the nearest shore. It is striking that the average annual water temperature in the Norwegian Sea is 5 ° C, and the average person can survive in it for half an hour.
Unexplained, but Gudlaugur could swim to shore for six hours. After he got out of the water, he walked barefoot for a few hours on a hard lava. When the man recovered, he underwent a survey, as the scientists wondered how he managed to survive. As a result, it turned out that Freedtsson's fat was three times denser than that of other people, which saved his life. The press called him a seal man.
2. The luckiest man in the world
An ordinary scientist from Croatia is just a dodger of fate, because he has suffered many tests in his life. Frane Selak rode on a train that had fallen off the rails and fell into the icy water, the bus in which he was, turned over, and the plane tore off the door. When a man was driving a car, it caught fire (this situation was repeated twice). This is not all the trials that Frenet experienced, but in the end he received another gift from fate - a win in the lottery at $ 1 million.
3. Bloody sacrifice for life's sake
An experienced mountaineer Aron Ralston often went to the mountains alone, and during the next ascension in Blue John Canyon, a boulder weighing 300 kg fell on him. As a result, it turned out that the man had his hand in the crevice. He made a mistake - he did not tell anyone that he was going on another trip, so he was not looking for him.
There was no connection in the canyon - for four days Aaron simply lay near the stone without moving. Aron was already thinking about his death, so he carved the supposed date of death on the stone and wrote a farewell message to the recorder. When he could not wait for help, Ralston tried to pull his hand out from under the stone, and she eventually broke down. Then he decided to independently amputate her, using a blunt penknife for this. After that, Aron went down and met the tourists who called the rescuers.
4. Survived a collision with a train
In Texas, in 2006, there was a tragedy with the switchman Truman Duncan. He rode on the trolley to the repair dock, slipped in an instant and fell to the front wheels. He tried with all his might not to fall on the rails, but he did not succeed, and he was sandwiched between the wheels of a wagons trolley, which dragged him 25 m. As a result, his body was almost half-cut. Truman was in the senses and was able to call in 911. The ambulance arrived in 45 minutes. Truman was made 23 operations, as a result of which he lost his left leg, pelvis and left kidney. But he survived!
5. Lost in the jungle
In 1981, Yossi Ginsburg and his friends went to the Amazon jungle to find unknown Indian tribes. During the campaign, they had to split up, Yossi and his friend decided to go down the river. As a result, they landed in a waterfall, and the man was carried far away by the current. For 19 days he wandered in search of people, coping with various difficulties: he escaped from the attack of the jaguar, ate fruits and eggs of birds, got out of the swamp and fought against the attack of the colony of termites. He was already on the verge of life and death, when he found a search party, organized by a friend of Yossi, who got to the people first. Other members of the expedition were not found. In 2017, based on this story, the film "Jungle" was released.
6. Mystical sea voyage
Jose Salvador Alvarenga, along with a friend from the coast of Mexico, went fishing to catch sharks. When they were already far away, the engine suddenly broke down, and the boat was carried to the Pacific Ocean. Partner José died after exhaustion, but Jose did not give up. He ate raw fish, drank the blood of sea turtles and his urine. In order not to burn in the sun, the man hid in a box for fish. Only 13 months later his boat landed on the shore of the Marshall Islands. Many, after learning the story of Jose, considered it an invention, because it is unrealistic for such an amount of time to overcome the distance of 10 thousand km. At the same time, Mexican authorities confirmed that in November 2012, two fishermen who had gone to sea, did not return home.
7. A revolutionary who does not take bullets
It is difficult to believe in this story from the distant past, but in 1915 Wenseslao Moguel was captured and sentenced to be shot. He received nine bullet wounds and a control shot in the head at point-blank range. Surviving after this is simply impossible, as the soldiers thought, so they threw the body. Wenseslao not only woke up, but he was able to reach his companions who helped him. In 1937, Wenseslao came to the NBC show, where he demonstrated a scar that remained in his head from a control shot.
8. Miracle after the earthquake in Haiti
In 2010, a terrible earthquake occurred in Haiti, which killed more than 200,000 people, but some residents managed to escape. Among them was Evan Muntzi, who on that day traded in the rice market. When the earth began to shake, the roof of the building where he was, collapsed, and the man found himself under rubble, where he lay for a month. He was able to survive due to the fact that in the concrete slabs cracks formed, through which air and rainwater came to Evan. When Munci was found, the doctors found him starting gangrene, because of which he could die in the near future.
9. The tragedy suffered by a high school student
On December 24, 1971, the LANSA 508 landed in a thunderstorm, and lightning struck it. As a result, he fell apart over the rainforest. Several seats, which was Juliana Kopke, collapsed at a distance of three kilometers from the scene of the accident. The girl, unlike 92 other passengers, survived, having thus broken a collarbone and numerous bruises. Trauma, which would prevent Juliana from moving, was not, so she decided to get out of the woods. Due to the fact that her father was a biologist, she knew how to survive in such conditions. She found a stream and for nine days walked along it down until she met the fishermen. The story of Juliana formed the basis of two movies.
10. Testing in Antarctica
Still dumb miracles from the distant past. After a long campaign, three polar explorers, including Douglas Mawson, returned to the base in December 1912. At first everything went fine, but on the 14th, one of the men fell into a crevice and died. Together with him, most of the provisions with the tent went under the ice. Men were waiting for a serious test - severe frost, wind and about 500 km of the way. After three weeks, partner Douglas died, and he had to continue the path alone. He nevertheless reached the bases (the road took him 56 days) and discovered that the ship had sailed home 5 hours ago. As a result, Mawson waited for the next ship for another 9 months.
11. Survived and successful
Young Catherine Burgess fell into a serious car accident in which she broke her neck, back and ribs, injured the pelvis, pierced the lungs and received many other injuries. It seemed impossible to survive with such traumas, but doctors managed to collect it, having fastened the body 11 with metal rods: a long rod connected the hip from the foot to the knee, six horizontal rods supported the spine, the neck was attached to the spine with a titanium screw. Surprisingly, another: six months after the tragedy, the girl stopped taking painkillers and became a model.
12. The saving jump from a huge height
In 1972, an explosion occurred in the interior of the DC-9-32 aircraft that was flying from Stockholm to Belgrade. On board there were 28 people, including stewardess Vesna Vulovich. After the incident, the cabin separated, and the girl was in the air. In three minutes, it flew 10 thousand meters. The landing softened, thanks to the snow-covered trees. We can say that Spring was born in a shirt, because she survived, having a fracture of the base of the skull, pelvis and three vertebrae. The girl was in a coma for a month, and the whole recovery lasted 4.5 years. What is interesting, Vulovich again wanted to become a stewardess, but she was offered an office job.
13. Unique operation
In the fourth month of pregnancy, Carey McCartney underwent a survey, and the doctors found a tumor on the body of a baby, the size of a grapefruit that prevented normal blood circulation and weakened the child's heart, which could cause death. The doctors decided to try to save the fetus, for which the operation was performed. They uncovered the mother's womb, half took out the baby and removed the tumor. After that, the fetus was placed back and the next 10 weeks of pregnancy passed without any problems. As a result, a girl appeared, who is considered a twice-born child.
14. Salvation deserving of applause
On October 13, 1972, the flight of Flight 571 crashed in the Andes, and what happened next was called "Miracle in the Andes". Of the 45 people on board, 10 died at once, and the rest struggled for life. They did not have food, so they fed on the meat of dead people, which was well preserved in the cold. After the radio broadcast that the search for live people from flight 571 stopped, two passengers without any equipment recovered in search of help and after 12 days they stumbled upon people. Rescue operation was carried out on December 23. This story was described in the book and told in the film.
15. Survival on the Edge
In the district of Arapaho during the descent on the ski lift, the tourist flew off the chair, entangled in the straps of the backpack. As a result, he hung over the ground and did not know what to do. On his luck, among the instructors was a professional rope-walker, who got to the skier and helped him get out of this confusing situation.
