general information
The institution was opened in 2015, on March 24. Its total area is 4400 square meters. m, and more than half of the territory is built-up. Here there are 9 pavilions, made in the form of a dome. Each of them is created in the original color.
Butterfly Garden in Dubai is open all year round, so visitors can see all the stages of development of butterflies. Insects were brought here from various corners of our planet. Here there are quite rare specimens.
Designing the landscape in the park was occupied by the German design bureau, which is called 3deluxe. Particular attention to the developers gave the pavilion with a biomorphic mesh roof. In a glass room at the same time it is possible to grow about 500 butterflies.
Description of sight
The roof of the building is decorated in Arabic style, but it was made not only for beauty. These elements help to regulate the climate and remove hot air from the premises. The developers argue that the construction of the structure was created especially under the hot Dubai weather, so it is able to withstand sand storms, sea wind, humidity and strong sun.
The main entrance is made in the form of a giant butterfly, and a narrow road leads to it. In the courtyard there are bright sculptures of fairy-tale characters, exotic trees and fragrant flowers grow.
In all rooms, various fruits (oranges, bananas, watermelons) are hung in baskets or packed on plates, containers with sweet water are installed. These are special treats for butterflies. For their comfort in the garden, optimal climatic conditions are constantly maintained. The air temperature is + 24 ° C, and the humidity is about 70%. Thanks to this, it is nice to be here.
