Ceiling recessed spotlights

Built-in point ceilings are very often used in modern ceiling designs. This is due, firstly, to the spreading of tension and suspended ceiling structures, with which such lamps look especially advantageous, and secondly, to the fact that the minimalism of this type of lighting is perfectly combined with the interiors in modern styles.

Built-in ceiling spotlights

Built-in lamps are a small lamp placed in a protective case, which can be fixed to the ceiling, walls and even the floor of the room. Such lighting elements create a directional light spot that illuminates a small part of the room, therefore, in order to illuminate the whole room well, it is necessary to think over the system of arrangement of the built-in lamps. As an element of illumination, luminaires can be used both independently and with more powerful instruments: chandeliers or sconces.

Depending on what kind of lighting system is located inside the lamp, they are divided into views. The most popular: LED recessed ceiling spotlights, as well as those that use energy-saving lamps. Both those and others do not heat up when used, and therefore do not have a negative effect on the ceiling, which is especially true for stretch ceilings, because after 60 ° C this coating begins to deform and stretch.

Also, there are two types of ceiling luminaires, depending on the way they are fixed to the ceiling. Some are completely recessed into the ceiling, while others protrude a few centimeters above its surface. The choice depends on the personal design preferences, as well as the planned height of the future ceiling, since for completely immersed structures it is necessary to lower the covering by at least 6 cm.

Selection of spotlights

Also, when choosing the right fixtures for finishing your room, you should also take into account their shape. Traditionally, they are round, but there are also square LED recessed ceiling spotlights, which many seem to be more attractive because of their unusual shape. However, such fixtures are more suitable for hinged ceiling structures, since they can cut out any shape of a hole, but the tension ceilings are afraid of sharp corners and it is better to use traditional round variants with them.

It is also important to take into account the operating conditions of ceiling lighting fixtures. So, recessed ceiling light fixtures for the bathroom should be protected.
