Bathroom fixtures

For the bathroom used ceiling, wall and built-in point lights . It is not superfluous to have a harmonious combination of different types of lighting devices, with which you can zonate the room.

Choosing a lamp, it is better to give preference to products designed specifically for bathrooms. After all, the lighting fixture for the bathroom should not only have an aesthetic appearance, but also be moisture resistant.

Ceiling lamps for the bathroom

A ceiling light with a matt reflector provides good room lighting. It emits a soft flowing light, ideally suited for this room. The most popular are models in the form of tablets, designed for one or two lamps.

It is worth noting that one ceiling lamp in the center of the room can be used only in small rooms, where the top lighting will suffice for the far corners. For a spacious bathroom, the presence of one lamp in the center is not enough. As additional illumination it is possible to use plafonds on walls or near a mirror. To light in the room evenly distributed, you can install along the perimeter of several point lights.

LED Bathroom Light

Spot LED lights do not clutter up space and have low power consumption. They are overhead and embedded. Built-in bathroom fixtures are mounted in a false ceiling, give good lighting and hardly stand out. Well, if the chiseled fixtures have an adjustable angle of rotation, then the light can be directed in the right direction. Decorative outdoor lighting with LED strip creates a special mood in the bathroom. Modern LED technology is able to give water procedures a special aesthetics!

Bathroom wall lamp

This type of fixtures is mounted on the wall. It is presented in the form of sconces, small side chandeliers or modern plafonds for bathrooms. Wall lamps are easier to install after repairs and maintain. At a minimum, you do not have to climb up on a stool each time to change a light bulb or to wipe the dust off the lamp.

Bathroom fixtures above the mirror

Mirror takes a special place in the bathroom. Some models are sold with built-in backlight in the form of spotlights located on the sides or the entire perimeter of the mirror. This lighting is convenient because the location of the luminaires has already been calculated correctly.

When the mirror does not have a built-in light, above the top edge of the frame, or on both sides of it, you can hang additional lights. According to the designers' recommendations, if the mirror is an elongated shape, long lamps should be installed along it, and if wide, light should be directed from above.

Safety first

Each bathroom lamp must be waterproof and safe. When purchasing waterproof bathroom fixtures, pay attention to the IP index, indicating the degree of protection against moisture and dust penetration. It is denoted by two digits.

For rooms with high humidity it is necessary to choose lamps with IP 55 (protection from a jet of water) or IP 44 (splash protection). The higher the index number, the closer to the shower booth, the faucet or bathroom can accommodate the lamp. However, we do not recommend to reduce this distance by less than 60 cm. This also applies to sockets.
