Their appearance our lovers took with such enthusiasm that many people rushed to buy a new curiosity, little understanding what problems they would encounter. Only later did special literature appear that could help fans in the breeding and breeding of these beautiful fish. The yellow cichlid of yellow is much easier to maintain than other species, it can be advised even by novice aquarists. These fish are very decorative creatures. They have a yellow color of the trunk, and on the edges of the fins there are dark bands of black color. In males, they are somewhat brighter than in females. Especially this difference is noticeable during spawning or when they are in an excited state. The size of the fish may vary somewhat depending on the conditions of the contents. Usually they grow up to 12-13 cm, but in small reservoirs (80-100 liters) the cichlids of the crayfish are small, here they often do not exceed 7-8 cm.

Reproduction of cichlid snows is not too complicated. If in your aquarium there is a flock of such fish, then it will necessarily be the creation of both sexes. They nurture young people in a kind of live incubator, which the females form in their mouth. Such a fish can be distinguished by swelling - it has a small bloated "goiter". The young people are selected from their mother for about 10-15 days.

Aquarist better to settle their own tree with fish, which are about the same size ( barbs and others). These creatures also get along well with their other African brethren, who belong to other species. But you need to remember that they can protect the territory. If you have a group of cichlids (5-10 pieces), then they will behave less aggressively towards their neighbors than with their single contents.
