In this tape, the actor played the role of an agent of the British special services, so he certainly told about his hero. "It seems to me that Hector is very similar to the creator of this novel, the writer John Le Care. In his works very often you can meet an individualist who fights for the truth, although this position is not always necessary for the public. Hector is such a hero. In addition, he is a romantic, devoted to his cause and very brave. His actions do not always correspond to his age, he is impulsive and often behaves like a teenager. The totality of all these qualities makes my character very interesting. It seems to me that each of the spectators can find in it, something of its own, characteristic only for it. "
About how Damian incarnated in his character, the British actor said these words: "I begin to work by collecting a lot of information about my hero. First I study the script in great detail, trying to understand the basic features of my character, and then I read books about his professional activities, I communicate with people of the profession that my hero works with, etc. Before filming in the film "Traitor" I read a lot of literature about MI6. But for this tape, I talked with operatives from the special unit. One of them served in Africa, and was closely associated with the financial sphere before he began working for the special services. It's just the perfect source of information for me. From the communication with him, I finally realized how people recruit people. The person is called and told that he has an excellent resume and is offered to come to the interview. While he is reflecting on this, he is already being identified for MI6 training courses. In addition, for me, an important aspect is the "bodily" work on the role. When I understand how I should play my character, I try to find someone like him. When I find it - just sit down and watch him: how he moves, speaks, etc. ".
His hero Lewis always associates with any animal. "It was extremely difficult to find an animal for Hector. At first I thought that they might well be a cat, but eventually I began to realize that this is not so. Hector associates with the dog. He, like this animal, constantly something "sniffs out", is looking for, trying to take a trace. But at the same time, finding, he can lose interest in it and go to a completely different direction, "- said the actor.
After briefly telling about his character, Damien decided to tell about the genre of the painting: "This is a film about the escape, although for some reason it is positioned as a detective story. When you look at "The same traitor, like us", it's impossible to tear yourself away from the screen even for a minute. This picture keeps in suspense all the time and quite often the audience asks the question: "They really will do it? Or is he really capable of this? ". The authors who wrote the script, like Le Kare, constantly pause to show the psychological state of the characters in the picture, their moral dilemmas with which they face. Hector - the character in which the mind and feelings are constantly struggling. As a result, this leads to the fact that my hero will help Dmitry, even if he does not fully understand what all this will lead to. "

"The same traitor as we are" - a spy thriller
This picture tells of a Russian oligarch of Dmitri, who sells valuable data to British special services. In addition, the film has an agent Hector, who faces a difficult choice: to work with Dmitry or declassify him so that he will suffer the appropriate punishment. Hector is an idealist and a maximalist, who everywhere tries to convey his point of view, but he is rarely listened to by his superiors. When Hector is trusted with the operation to cooperate with one of the biggest informers from the Russian underworld, the agent sees it as an opportunity to prove his point of view to the authorities. To do this, he decides to use Perry and Gale, a married couple who accidentally gets involved in this story.
