The most feminine detail of the wardrobe is a dress, and the most delicate and coquettish dress is with frills. Dresses with frills and ruffles are in every collection of almost any brand and they practically do not go out of fashion.
Dress with ruffles - cut options
There are many models with ruffs of different sizes, from any materials. As for the location of the frill, here there are several basic types of cut:
- dresses with frills at the bottom are usually very light and at least knee length (in this case it is short and lush ruches), sometimes it is more rigorous models with wide and neat waves;
- dress with a frill at the waist is also very relevant for several seasons in a row, with the width of the frill is quite large, and sew it from the same fabric as the dress itself;
- there are very original asymmetrical dresses with a frill on the bottom, this is usually used for cocktail or evening styles;
- a wide ruffle dress can decorate or replace sleeves, complement the cutout;
- As for the fabric, the designers' fantasy is not limited to anything: they use lightweight fabrics such as chiffon or organza for summer dresses and more dense cotton for demi-season ones.
Wide dress ruffle as a strategic move
With a dress with frills you can easily hide the flaws of the figure, emphasize its advantages and visually balance the silhouette. For example, a knitted dress with frills in the vertical direction will perfectly stretch the figure. If you want to visually enlarge the chest, look for a light summer dress with frills of medium width in two or three rows.
A strict knitted dress with frills on the bottom edge will emphasize slender legs. The wider this frill is, the more slender the legs will look. It should also be remembered that such a feminine detail does not tolerate coarse accessories. If you wear a light white dress with frills, it is better to supplement it with exceptionally thin non-significant ornaments and elegant shoes.
