In addition to the high cost, one of the main reasons for refusal from the services of a hairdresser is the fact that it is quite possible to take care of hair (if there are certainly no serious indications for treatment) at home. Laminating and glazing hair are procedures that are becoming more popular among women, because they allow you to give your hair a special sheen and make them healthier. Means for glazing hair is in almost every beauty salon, but the cost of such a procedure is not affordable for everyone. Fortunately, at home, you can make the glazing of hair no worse, but still well save.
What is the glazing of hair?
First, we'll figure out what glazing hair is and why it's done. The procedure received its name for the technique of execution: the hair is applied glaze, it gives the hair shine and enhances their color.
Means for glazing hair allow you to make the natural hair color two shades lighter or darker. At the same time, a completely harmless dye is used, so that the procedure can be safely carried out at least every day. Glazing aligns the structure of the hair, they get shiny and become healthier. The hair is covered with a special protective film. This film not only protects them from the effects of the external environment, but also thickens the hair, especially in the root part. Under the film, the hair becomes more docile, as the surface of the rod is leveled. Unfortunately, this protection is already washed off after a week or two. Therefore, the cost of glazing is much lower than lamination.
How to make hair glazing?
Remember that the glazing procedure is done only to give color and shine to the hair. If the hair needs treatment and more thorough care, it is better to give preference to lamination. Consider a step-by-step procedure for glazing hair at home:
- To start, wash your head well and lightly dry with a towel. Apply a nutrient mask to your hair for your hair type. After 30 minutes the mask can be washed off.
- In any specialized store you can buy all the necessary tools for glazing. The kit, as a rule, consists of an activator, a stabilizer and a colorant. Two components must be mixed: take two parts of the activator and one part of the dye. You will get a gel-like mixture with a pearl shade. Take care not to form impurities or air bubbles.
- Apply the mixture in the same way as apply hair dye.
- After applying, massage for a few minutes strands of hair, this promotes an even distribution of the composition.
- On the head it is necessary to put on a polyethylene hat for 20-30 minutes. This time is enough for the mixture to penetrate the hair and nourish it.
- Rinse with warm water without shampoo. Now you can apply a stabilizer to your hair. After about five minutes, it should be washed off with warm water.
- At the very end, apply a little softening conditioner on the hair. It helps to fix the effect.
- If you decide to do hair glazing at home, before the procedure, test for allergic reactions. Apply to a small area of scalp mixture and hold for 15 minutes.
- Perform the procedure sufficiently every two to three weeks. In addition to its aesthetic result, glazing is a good prevention of the cross-section of hair tips.
