Counting should be done as accurately as possible, because who wants to run again for missing rolls, which can unexpectedly end in a store or a new batch will differ in depth or shade of color. And to find out that you have too much bought for stock too is unpleasant, since only one roll should be available "just in case".
How to calculate the required number of wallpapers?
Well, to begin with, if you have not torn off the old wallpaper - they will help you make the right calculation. Here you only have to count the number of bands. But this method will only work if the width of the new and old wallpaper matches.
If the walls of the rooms did not know the wallpaper, then it is necessary to find the area of each wall and summarize. You can, of course, subtract from there the area of windows and doors, but here the sixth sense should suggest that the master can inadvertently spoil a few bands, if you have a child - he is likely to try to show his skills in the visual arts. How to calculate the number of rolls of wallpaper?
After the addition of all the walls, you can start translating square meters into rolls. To do this, you will need to carefully study the label on the wallpaper you like. There is always indicated their width and the number of meters packed in a roll. Divide the total area under the plywood by the resulting area of one roll and find the number of rolls.
But the above-mentioned mathematics approaches a monophonic wallpaper or does not need a docking pattern. And if the wallpaper is gifted with a rich decor, what to do?
- First, learn from the seller the amount of the step of the ornament. Divide the height by the figure.
- The resulting number is rounded and multiplied by the step size. Strange manipulations, but they give the following - the length of the strip, which must be cut off from the roll.
- Then we find the difference between the two values obtained - how many will go to waste.
- Then divide the total length of the web into the number in figure 2 and multiply by the factor from point 3. This is the total number of waste that can be subtracted from the total length.
- Now you can divide the total area under the patch by the number obtained in the previous paragraph. The result will show the required number of rolls.
