It would seem that it could be easier, because a huge screen in the wall - is it not a dream? But not all so unambiguously. When choosing the diagonal of the TV, the principle "more is better" is not always true.
How to measure the diagonal of the TV and what to rely on when choosing it?
The diagonal is considered to be the distance between diagonally opposite corners of the screen. It is measured in inches. 1 inch is 2.54 cm, so after a simple calculation you can determine the size of the diagonal and in centimeters.
If you are buying a new, modern model for the first time, then for sure you will wonder: the diagonals of TVs: what are they? Undoubtedly, for different manufacturers the sizes can differ, but more often they adhere to some generally accepted standard. So, on sale it is possible to find TVs with a diagonal of 17, 19, 22, 25, 37 and so on almost indefinitely. So which one is right for you?
Determining what kind of TV diagonal to choose, you need to focus on two factors:
- the size of the room where the acquisition is planned and, accordingly, the distance from which it will be viewed;
- The type of screen and, accordingly, its resolution.
After numerous studies, industry experts recommend the following diagonal-distance ratio:
- TVs with a screen of 14-17 meters should be viewed at least a meter from them;
- for comfortable viewing of TVs is more - from
26 to 32 inches, you need to sit down already at 2-2,5 m; - if you decide to purchase a large TV, a diagonal of 61-80 inches, the size of your housing should allow you to watch it from a distance of 4-5 m.
As for the type of screen, in this case, not only your comfort, but also the quality of the image depends directly on its size. So, to get a high-quality image on the LCD screen, you should prefer a diagonal of at least 26 inches. As for models of LED-TVs that support a three-dimensional image, the minimum diagonal should be at least 40 inches. However, you are less likely to find it on sale.
