Javier Bardem defended against Woody Allen's attacks and supported the move #metoo

To be extremely honest in Hollywood and to objectively assess what is happening is not given to everyone. Arriving in captivity of emotions and trying to regain lost fame, many representatives of the film industry are looking for an excuse for the sensation around their name. Javier Bardem, tired of attacking Woody Allen and accusing him of sexual harassment against his daughter, decided to defend him. In the interview, he also shared his thoughts on the activities of the #metoo movement.

The actor gave an interview to the Paris Match tabloid

Recall that many years ago, Dylan Farrow, the adopted daughter of Woody Allen, accused him of harassment and seduction. After the wave of revelations in the case of Harvey Weinstein, she again attracted attention and in an interview confessed that she experienced psychological and physical abuse by the adoptive father. The story, which until recently was brought to an end in court, again excites the public, refuses cooperation with the director.

Javier Bardem and his wife Penelope Cruz starred in Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2008. During the filming process, they closely communicated with the director, therefore, according to the actor, they do not believe in accusations:

"I'm horrified by what is happening and the flow of accusations, refusal to cooperate with a genius director. For me, it's obvious that he's legally innocent. I have no reason to doubt the decision of the New York court. Since that moment nothing has changed legally, there have been no repeated hearings, charges of bias to the investigation, too. If I knew or heard at least one serious argument against him, I did not hesitate to refuse filming under his leadership. To date, I do not see any reason to avoid communication and cooperation with him! "

In an interview with the tabloid Paris Match, Bardem remembered his childhood and raising his mother:

"I was brought up by a strong and intelligent woman who is worthy of admiration. Obviously, with growing up I have absorbed respect for women and never allowed myself to be superfluous in behavior. "

In the context of memories, the Spanish actor shared his thoughts on the activities of the Hollywood #metoo movement and the attitude towards frank confessions of victims from harassment and sexual violence:

"Looking at the ongoing madness and mutual accusations, it seems that men and women are separated by barricades. Accusations, insults, pain, spoiled careers and personal life - all this is seen by the younger generation. What will they take out of this confrontation? The main thing in human relations is to be together, not against each other! "
