Lithuanian visa (Schengen)

Since the Lithuanian visa is, in fact, a general visa for the Schengen countries, after its receipt you can freely move through the territory of most European countries. There are several categories of visas:

Registration of the Lithuanian visa
Before you run to the embassy for a Lithuanian visa with a bundle of documents in your hands, you must submit an electronic application (register on the website of the Lithuanian Embassy in your country). After registration, you will be assigned a personal number and determine the date of submission of documents. Please note that in the spring and summer the number of applicants sharply increases, which means that you can hardly escape the queues.
List of documents for Lithuanian visa:
- international passport;
- a copy of the internal passport;
- completed application form (in Russian or Lithuanian);
- 2 photos 35х45 mm (on a white background, without corners, 80% of the area of the photo should be occupied by the person);
- a certificate from the place of work (with a wet seal, full details of the organization and contact information) indicating the average salary for the last 6 months;
- a copy of the employment record;
- a copy of the pension certificate (for pensioners);
- permission for both parents to leave (for minors);
- copies of credit cards;
- a certificate from the bank confirming the solvency or copies of traveler's checks (30 € per person for each day of the planned stay in the country);
- medical insurance.
Additionally, other documents may be required, this should be known in advance at the embassy.
To issue a single entry visa for up to 14 days, you also need to pay a consular fee of 35 € or 70 € (urgent). The visa itself will cost you 150 €. Multiple short-term visa ( multivisa ) and an annual Schengen visa are issued to those who previously received a single Lithuanian visa.
After submitting documents, they will be considered within 1-2 days. Together with the preparation of documents on average for a visa you will spend 8-10 working days.
If you already have a valid Schengen visa from one of the European countries in your passport, you do not need to get an additional Lithuanian visa - you can freely visit the territory of Lithuania during the entire period of your visa.
