How to choose a moisture resistant laminate?
If before going to the building store you did not manage to figure out the intricacies of such a product and you will not be able to determine its quality yourself, then the seller needs to clarify the following nuances:
- laminate floor erasability class. It should not be less than the 32nd;
- availability of quality certificates for your batch of coverage;
- The density of the panel, which should be at least 900 kg / cubic meter. This figure characterizes the strength of the material;
- treatment of the lower layer of each board with moisture resistant coatings, the presence of a wax layer on the joints of boards;
- whether the chamfer is present, since such decorative addition of the laminate promotes the accumulation of water.
If the choice has been made, take care of purchasing a special substrate. It is better if it is made of PVC.
