Ointment Konkova is an antiseptic, disinfectant, which contributes to the speedy healing and regeneration of tissues, which exerts an anti-burn effect. To date, this tool is used rarely.
Composition of ointment Konkova
This ointment is prepared on the basis of the following components:
- rivanol (ethacridine) is an antiseptic that exhibits antimicrobial activity, mainly against coccal microorganisms (especially streptococci);
- fish oil (cod liver oil) - has anti-inflammatory, softening properties, promotes the speedy healing of tissues and their recovery (primarily due to the high content of vitamin A in it);
- bee honey - exhibits antimicrobial properties, mainly against gram-positive microflora.
- distilled water.
Also, the recipe for Konkov's ointment can be supplemented by the introduction of birch tar. Due to this component, Konkov's ointment with tar also contributes to the improvement of blood supply to tissues, strengthening the processes of keratinization, has antifungal properties. It is worth noting that, with respect to gram-negative microbes, the agent does not show any activity.
Application of ointment Konkova
The drug is recommended to be used one to three times a day, applying a thin layer to the affected tissue, in the following cases:
- sluggishly healing wounds (wounds with pronounced granulation, not healing within a month);
- pyoderma (pustular skin lesions);
- burns.
Side effects and contraindications to Konkov's ointment
When applying the ointment, there may be a brief sensation of burning, allergic reactions . The drug is not recommended for use in the presence of hypersensitivity to the components of the composition, as well as in the case of kidney disease, in which urine is found in the urine (albuminuria).
