Self-absorbing filler floor - which is better?

Self-leveling floors are a convenient and modern way of finishing the surface. They can be used both in an apartment or a house, and beyond, for example, when working on an outdoor terrace. It is difficult to say unambiguously which self-leveling filler floor is better, since its different types are intended for different purposes, and accordingly, the properties have different.

Types of self-leveling floors for subsequent finishing

First of all, it should be noted that all the bulk floors can be divided into two large groups: those that can be covered over with some other finishing material, and those that have such an attractive appearance that they are used independently.

Among the first are, for example, dedusting floors, which are used as screed for further coating. They well align and strengthen the surface, while they have a very simple styling technology. Suitable only for indoor work.

Another variant of the flooring is liquid self-leveling floors based on gypsum. They are also intended for internal work, since this material is sensitive to temperature changes. After the filling floor of gypsum can be laid any finish trim, because over time, such a floor is almost not deformed.

Cemented self-leveling floors are resistant to the effects of temperatures, and even well withstand high humidity in the room. Their not very attractive appearance is compensated by the strength and long life. Perhaps, this is the best self-leveling self-leveling floor, if you are looking for an option that will last you a long time. The disadvantage of such a coating is that it should be left standing for a long time after pouring in order to completely solidify (about 3-4 weeks, while for other liquid floors this period can be from 8 to 48 hours).

Which designer self-leveling flooring to choose?

If the task is to immediately make the floor finish using only a self-leveling floor, then in addition to the filler and the binding agent, the coloring components are added to the fill mixture, as well as the decorative elements that create the desired effect.

So, very self-leveling self-leveling floors based on polyurethane are very popular, as they retain heat, and their slightly springy effect makes operation very pleasant. Polymer-based floors are well insulating the room and serve for a long time, at the same time they look bright and beautiful.

Also, there are bulk mixtures based on epoxy resins. They combine strength, resistance to temperature changes, the ability to withstand heavy loads, the impact of aggressive chemicals and beautiful appearance. It is this version of the bulk floor is recommended in case you want to create a beautiful floor, for example, in the garage.

But hardly any of these options can match the beauty and expressiveness of the design with bulk 3D floors . This is a kind of polymer floors, but the technology of their manufacture differs significantly from the laying of the usual self-leveling floor. First, the base layer is poured onto the surface, then a special film with the applied image is attached to it (the color and the pattern can be absolutely anything, such as the customer wants). After the floor is covered with a transparent layer of finishing finish, which will protect the 3D pattern from damage, and also show all its beauty.
