Slavske - a small village, which is located in the Lviv region in the Carpathians , and still here is one of the best ski resorts in Ukraine. Rest in the village of Slavske (Slavsko) in winter is skiing, snowboarding , sledding, snowmobiling. In this remarkable place the infrastructure is well developed, which allows even to celebrate the New Year in Slavske. Here there are very good restaurants and cafes, in which treats with delicious and hearty Transcarpathian cuisine. And the village of Slavskoe is well known for its close proximity to Mount Trostyan, where several ski slopes are located. Their quality was approved by the International Ski Federation. On several routes snow cannons work, which makes it possible to ski on in any weather.
Mountains and slopes
To fans of a winter extreme on liking there were four mountains which settle down in territory of settlement or in immediate proximity from it:
- Puff;
- Polytech;
- High Upper;
- Trostyan.
- Mount Pogar is almost in the very center of Slavsky. Upwards (857 meters) vacationers can use one of the two lifts of the rope type. The descents here require basic skills to be skated, not the best place for first skating.
- For beginners, Polytech is a great fit. Slopes of the mountain are mostly flat, difficulties in descending can arise in the beginner only at the end of the descent. And you have to be able to brake, because the final straight rests on the track. Overall, this 173-meter-high mountain is a great place to get basic skills for snowboarding or skiing.
- Mount Vysoky Top has trails of varying complexity. There will be able to ride and an experienced skier, and a beginner. The chair lift with a length of 2800 meters and three lifts of the tow type will help you to climb up. From the village of Slavske to the mountains to go only three kilometers, get here better by taxi. By the way, the taxi here is colorful - UAZs of the times of the USSR. The height of this mountain is 1242 meters. On a sunny day, a magnificent view opens from the top.
- But most of all the lovers of active leisure attract the mountain Trostyan, it has a height of 1232 meters. There are different levels of difficulty here, but it's worth to go here, if you know how to stand confidently on skis. Steep turns, trampolines and spies, growing along the trails, misses will not forgive! Raises the guests up the chair lift and as many as seven draglines.
Ski Equipment
Before conquering the mountain peaks it is necessary to think about renting ski equipment. In the village there is a significant number of rental points, the ski equipment itself is expensive and of high quality. Many owners who provide shelter to tourists for a modest fee, also rent out skis, sledges and snowboards. Rent a pair of skis will cost you from 50 to 70 hryvnia for one day (7-9 dollars), and sleighs - from 30 to 50 (4-7 dollars). Be sure to pay attention to the quality of rolling equipment, because it depends on it, comfortable riding. And the document that will have to be left as security, take it!
Accommodation
Prices for housing in the village is quite dependent on the season. Having a rest at the beginning of the season (December) is quite expensive, especially if you planned to stay here on New Year's holidays. The price for the room will be 200-900 hryvnia per person per night (25-115 dollars). Owners of cottages usually ask for an advance payment of 30% of the rental price, regular customers traditionally make discounts, but this is all individually in each case. A good alternative to living in a cottage or a hotel is renting a room from hospitable locals. The price for a room will vary between 160 - 300 hryvnia per day (20-40 dollars), depending on the season. On a larger scale, the costs of living are closely related to the needs of a particular vacationer in comfort.
Decide how to get to the village of Slavske? You can arrive in Slavske by car (how to get there by car indicated on the map, about 138 km) or take the Lviv-Mukachevo train. In any case, it's best to come to Lviv, and from there to get to Slavsky. The problems with this in the season there.
