The magazine Sports Illustrated has always been associated with fans with sports girls, with a perfect figure and a captivating look. But for the last two years the editorial policy of the tabloid has been radically restructured and invites plus-size models to cooperate.
Last year, on the cover of a special issue, Ashley Graham appeared, exploding the world of fashionable gloss, this year the editor-in-chief of the tabloid decided to repeat the success of last year's collection! For the promo campaign Swimsuit-18 swimsuit line invited two friends: the sporting Georgia Gibbs and the spectacular Kate Wesley.
The new project relies on the beauty of all forms and sizes, on body-building and breaking stereotypes of beauty. Judging by the increase in the magazine's rating and the increase in sales of swimsuits - the rate justified itself! Kate Wesley commented on the production process:
"I am happy to participate in the draft of such a plan. It is for those who feel insecure about their appearance, too skinny or, conversely, very full. For those whose body is in scars, stretch marks, who has cellulite. We decided to dedicate the photoset to those who, at least once in their lives, heard comments about their appearance and who were told that they would become beauties if they lose weight. "
Georgia Gibbs, best friend of the plus-size model and the second participant of the promo campaign, is impressed by the content and the message of the photoset:
"We are all unique and this is our beauty! It does not matter how complex you are. "
