What are refrigerator bags?
In fact, the name "refrigerator" is not entirely correct for such products. Speaking correctly, the bag is called isothermal. There are also thermosets, however, and this is a thing with a completely different function. The thermo bag works on the principle of an ordinary thermos - thanks to the reflecting surface inside it it will maintain the temperature for some time.
The isothermic bag keeps the temperature with the cold accumulator in it, and then only for 24 hours. After that, the temperature inside will be equal to the ambient temperature.
Nevertheless, since the name "cooler bag" is much more understandable and familiar, it is often used. The main thing is to know the difference.
How to use a refrigerator bag?
This cold storage battery is usually a plastic container filled with a special saline solution. Before use, it must be placed in the freezer for 9-12 hours. Please note that if it is really a cooler bag, not a thermos bottle , then the battery should be bundled.
In principle, its role can be played by an ordinary bottle of salt water. It must also be held in the freezer before use.
Dimensions of travel bags-refrigerators:
- Small bags of refrigerators start from a volume of about 3.5 liters. Such can become an excellent companion not only to you, but also to your child. Looks like a bag, a backpack or a small lunch box for camping. Weigh the smallest models quite a bit - about 200 grams. Models larger, 7-9 liters, will be heavier, but not much - up to 450 grams. The exception is made of plastic bags. Their weight will start from 1 kg.
- Large bags of refrigerators can reach a volume of up to 100 liters. When choosing this model, consider that 1 cold storage battery is calculated approximately 3 liters. Large bags of refrigerators are more suitable for trips by car.
To determine which cooler bag is better - pay attention to a number of parameters:
- the quality of the material from which the bag is made;
- from which the internal gasket is made (there must be dense PVC with reflective properties, and not simple poly-ethylene);
- the presence of additional pockets and soft pads on the handles;
- the presence of a set of dishes, sailboats and similar utensils.
