Accumulators for radiotelephones

Radiotelephones are actively used in many offices, shopping centers and at home. But a frequent issue of concern to users is the proper operation of batteries for radiotelephones, in particular, the rules for charging them.

Battery operation for radiotelephones

The overwhelming majority of radiotelephone users after each conversation return its tube to the base, which in the past was actual and was explained by the short battery life time and the danger of connecting to an empty base of unscrupulous subscribers for committing expensive international calls.

Today, radiotelephones operate on secure digital frequencies, so it's very difficult to connect to the line, and with the advent of mobile communication, interest in frauds with radiotelephones has been significantly reduced.

So, what are the basic rules for the operation of small and built-in batteries for radiotelephones:

  1. It is impossible to allow a full discharge of lithium-ion batteries - this significantly reduces the number of discharge cycles of the tube. When the charge reaches 10%, the tube can be put on the base.
  2. Full discharge is needed approximately every three months - this helps to reset the battery and improves its performance.
  3. Keep the handset with a charge level of approximately 50-30%. And to the question: whether it is possible to leave the battery in the non-working radiotelephone, the answer will be extremely undesirable. The battery left for a long time will lose a considerable part of its capacity, up to the complete loss of battery life.

These recommendations apply to lithium-ion batteries used for Siemens radiotelephones and most other brands. However, there are other types of batteries: nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride, lithium-ion. Whether there are radiotelephones with a lithium polymer battery - there are, that's only the number of cycles in this case is much less, only 100-150.

Nickel-cadmium batteries have the largest number of discharge / charge cycles, although they require very careful maintenance.
