In everyday life, there are often situations where you need to wash your hands, but there is no opportunity for this, for example, on the road, on vacation or on a walk. In addition, a long stay in public transport and contact with handrails, seats carries the danger of getting pathogens on the skin. That is why hygienic hand antiseptic is so important, which will not only restore a sense of purity, but also protect against certain diseases.
Skin antiseptic for hands
Such remedies, for the most part, are used in medical institutions to prevent the spread of pathogens and hygiene. But this antiseptic for hands gradually came into use and ordinary people, being a convenient means of disinfecting the skin in domestic use.
Most of the drugs in question contain at least 60% alcohol, so they eliminate various types of bacteria and fungi, such as tubercle bacillus, staphylococci, streptococci. In addition, a skin antiseptic for the hands is effective against viruses (SARS, influenza).
Naturally, destroying pathogenic bacteria, such preparations do not leave on the skin and normal microflora of the body, and also eliminate the surface protective fatty layer. But this negative aspect manifests itself to a much lesser extent than with the usual washing of hands with soap.

The composition of the agent in question includes the following active ingredients:
- povidone-iodine;
- propanol;
- ethanol;
- isopropanol;
- n-propanol.
As auxiliary components, various thickeners, aromatic constituents, glycerin (for retaining moisture in skin cells), vitamin and vegetable extracts, propylene glycol, polyacrylic acid are used.
For sensitive skin, antiseptics that do not contain alcohols are provided. In this case, the active substance is benzalkonium chloride or triclosan.
Antiseptic for hands - spray
In this form, the antiseptic is convenient to use when it is necessary to quickly treat the hands. Often it is purchased for beauty salons, transport, places for catering and for children while in school. The spray is quickly absorbed, leaving the skin clean. The most effective means are:

Any of the three listed antiseptics is effective for 4-5 hours after spraying.
Gel antiseptic for hands with a dispenser
This type of drug, as a rule, contains more moisturizing and nutrients in the composition, and, consequently, cares about the skin condition, does not overdry it. Moreover, it is consumed more economically than liquid analogues.
The most popular antiseptic hand gel:
