Decorating the balcony with plastic panels

Like any living quarters, loggias and balconies need high-quality insulation and attractive appearance. The decoration of balconies and loggias with plastic panels (the so-called plastic lining) is one of the cheapest, easiest and fastest ways of interior decoration.

The installation of these panels is very simple, and due to the fact that they have a 6-meter length, when they are cut, the minimum amount of waste remains. Panels are very convenient for transportation and installation, because they have a low weight.

Also, the positive qualities of plastic panels include the stability of this material - it does not lose its attractiveness under the influence of moisture, cold, heat. It is easy to care for - just a simple wet cleaning, even without the use of expensive cleaning agents, they do not absorb foreign smells.

Panels made of plastic are perfectly combined with plastic windows, and their color range is so extensive that it allows to realize any idea of the designer, depending on the wishes of the owner of housing.

Plastic panels are durable, they do not lend themselves to decay, they are resistant to mechanical damage, scratches, and have good sound insulation.

Mount panels to the walls can be pre-mounted crate or by directly gluing the panels to the walls. The first method is more advantageous, since it does not require perfectly smooth walls and, if necessary, it is easier to replace the failed panel.

Wall and ceiling decoration on the loggia

Before you begin to finish the loggia with plastic panels, you should make its insulation. Most often this is done with foam, but you can use mineral wool. In addition, plastic panels, in fact, being the finishing material, have the ability to self-insulate. Begin work on the interior of the loggia is best from the ceiling.

If there is no wall and ceiling insulation on the loggia, it is better to choose narrow panels for finishing, as they are more resistant to temperature changes and less prone to deformation.

The loggia is finished with plastic panels on a pre-assembled frame, for which both wooden bars and metal profiles can be used. In the case of finishing the balcony or loggia, the metal should be preferred, it does not react to moisture ingress and temperature drop, so the frame is not deformed and the casing will not lose its shape.

Before you begin to finish the walls, you should think about the location of the plastic panels - it can be horizontal or vertical. If the panels are positioned horizontally, the carcass planks should be fixed vertically, respectively, with the vertical arrangement of the panels, the fastening occurs to the horizontally placed frame.

The horizontal arrangement of the panels visually increases the width of the loggia, and the vertical visually makes it higher. The most convenient way to install plastic panels on the walls is vertical, it is better to start the paneling from the corner. A good solution is to finish the ceiling of the loggia with plastic panels attached to the crate - this design is reliable and durable, it will not sag and lose its appeal, in addition, it will allow to place on the ceiling built-in lights.

On the ceiling of the loggia, the panels should be mounted across the room, using not long bars, as the ceiling plastic panels can yield in thickness to the wall panels, not having great strength and not needing excessive loads.
