The famous Hollywood actress Jada Pinkett-Smith boldly stated on her page in the FB that people at the Oscar awarding ceremony entertain the public and give out awards, announce the participants, but their talents and acting abilities are completely ignored.
The black actress was outraged by the fact that in the five main Oscar-2016 nominations only Caucasian women were declared. In the social network, the famous wife of equally famous husband Will Smith called on all black actors and spectators to ignore the awards ceremony.
Her emotional appeal quickly picked up the readers, and for the day the campaign post in Facebook scored more than 120,000 likes. The wave of indignation got to Twitter, with the help of hashtag #OscarsSoWhite disgruntled users and offended black people can stand up for the rights of color.
Is history repeating itself?
Last year, the statuettes were presented to Lupita Niongo, Oprah Winfrey, Zoe Saldana, Civetel Egiofor and Eddie Murphy, but not a single black actor received the highest cinematographic award.
