For admirers of the Hollywood diva it's long ago not a secret that the story of Angelina Jolie's relationship with her father John Wojte is similar to the plot for the series.

Angelina Jolie's father, a talented actor and Oscar-winner John Voight, left his family when she was only a year old. The girl was very worried because of the parents' break, she considered her father a traitor. The film "Homecoming", for which he received the coveted "Oscar", Angelina did not look only because it acted in film, for which John left her mother.
Nevertheless, it was thanks to his father that the first film debut of seven-year-old Angie took place in the film "In Search of an Exit". The first film experience inspired the daughter of John Wojt to study at a theater school. During this period, Angelina pretty tightly communicated with her father. The actor tried to pay more attention to his daughter, feeling guilty for his departure from the family.
But Angie still felt lonely and abandoned. To somehow fill the emotional void, she led a friendship with punks , dyed her hair in red, at school lessons she painted coffins, collected knives and even inflicted wounds on her body.

Although Angelina for many years blamed her father for the collapse of the family, her "Oscar" for the painting "Interrupted Life" in 2000, she dedicated it to actor John Vojt. A year later, after receiving an offer to withdraw in the first part of "Lara Croft", put forward the condition: in the picture, her father should be involved. But the family idyll on the set did not work, they rather resembled one continuous quarrel. And when John Voight publicly spoke negatively about Angelina's adoption of a baby from Cambodia, her daughter completely stopped all relations with him and even gave up his name.
Over the years of alienation, John Wojt repeatedly tried to reconcile with his daughter, even told about his experiences on various TV shows. But it was all in vain. The situation began to straighten after the death of Angelina's mother, actress Marcelin Bertrand. A significant role in the final reconciliation of John Voight with his daughter, held in 2011, played and Brad Pitt. Probably, it is for this reason that the news about the divorce of Angelina and her third husband plunged the actor into a real shock.
