When installing a laminate without a chamfer, you need a perfectly flat surface, since it forms a continuous smooth plane. If errors in connection are made, then on this type of coating they will be visible immediately, while the laminate with the edge can be mounted on an uneven floor.
The parts of the coating without chamfers firmly adjoin each other and create a monolithic coating without gaps, which draws attention to its artificial nature. The application of grooves imitates a board texture.
For those who are worried that the mud will remain in the hollows between the boards, they should not be nervous - they are too small for this. The edge is treated with water and dirt-repellent materials.
In addition to the fact that the bevel imitates flooring from expensive natural materials, it also hides the cracks when joining the planks, which in the future will ensure the self-regulation of the sexual lath if the floor begins to swell. It is due to the facet that this type of coating will serve for at least 10-15 years.
The laying pattern of the laminate with chamfer can be in the form:
- "Christmas tree" (the installation of boards is carried out along the line of light or from it);
- squares;
- direct laying is carried out in the direction of sunlight, laying across the lighting is relevant for a room with a small width. The direct method has the minimum cost of cutting the material;
- Diagonal laying (at an angle of 45 degrees) is characterized by higher costs for pruning.
Laminate with chamfer - the pros and cons
The advantages of using the edge include:

According to the users, the material with the bevel has practically no disadvantages. There are no significant differences between a laminate with a recess or without in the installation and operation technology. Chamfer is just a decorative element.
