One of the most painless methods is the last one. And lemon juice is incredibly useful for healthy hair.
Than a lemon for hair is useful?
To determine whether lemon juice is useful for hair, it is worthwhile to understand its composition. So, the pulp of the lemon, and, accordingly, its juice, consist of:
- organic acids - lemon and apple;
- sugars (contains up to 3.5%);
- carotene, which is useful for hair and is a powerful antioxidant;
- phytoncides that kill bacteria;
- vitamins - ascorbic acid, which is useful in many diseases and is an antioxidant, thiamine (B1), which is involved in the formation of the hair shaft, riboflavin (B2), which also forms the stratum corneum, etc.
So, we can say that rinsing hair with lemon can really help in some cases. However, all is well that in moderation, because lemon juice contains an acid that degreases the hair.
Using Lemon Juice for Hair
Often, lemon juice in cosmetology for hair is used as a conditioner, but in some cases it is used as an ingredient in a mask.
Lemon for hair growth
Honey and lemon help for hair growth:
- Mix 7 tablespoons. l. lemon juice and 2 tbsp. l. honey.
- Then apply the mixture to the roots of the hair for 15 minutes.
- After this, rinse with shampoo.
Lemon for lightening hair
To lighten your hair:
- Mix a glass of lemon juice with half a glass of warm water.
- Then pour the mixture into the spray bottle and apply it to the hair.
- To lemon act as a clarifier, it is desirable to be under the rays of the sun for at least an hour. If this is not possible, wrap the hair with a towel and do not flush the mixture for 2 hours.
If the hair is prone to dryness, mix the lemon juice in a 1: 2 ratio with the hair conditioner and then proceed the same way as indicated for normal and oily hair.
Lemon for oily hair
To reduce the fatiness of the scalp, rinse your hair after washing with a mixture of lemon juice and water in a 1: 2 ratio. The same procedure helps to shine the hair: the lemon contains acid, and therefore, when degreasing, it makes the hair more shiny. This procedure should be done no more than 2 times a week.
