The owl museum is one of the non-standard private museums of the Korean capital . It is located in the Samcheon-dong area near the metro station Anguk. It is territorially one of the northern districts - Chonnogu. A sign near the museum reads "Tea and Owls", because it is also a small cafe.

The museum of owl art is quite an old institution: an interesting and unusual collection has been going on for more than 40 years. The museum has a second name - Owl art and craft museum, which translates as "Museum of Crafts, dedicated to owls."

The founder of the museum is Baen Men Hee, the first things with a wise bird he began to collect in 15 years. Over time, the whole family joined him, and friends brought souvenirs from all over the world. The museum is small, it occupies only 2 rooms, but this does not detract from its attractiveness.

What is interesting about this place?

The museum of owl art is a small but very cozy and interesting house where the most part of the interior is more than 2000 thousand different exhibits from 70 countries of the world with the image of a night bird. Books and dishes, stamps and watches, objects of everyday life and art, castles and embroideries, bells and bells, children's drawings and vintage figurines, personal ornaments and craftsmen's products - all this fills the small cafe with a special spirit.

Here you can find images of owls from Poland, Japan , Zimbabwe, Egypt. There are also exhibits from Russia: there are two birds of ceramics and two in the form of Christmas toys. The whole collection is placed in one room.

The signboard, fence and facade of the house are also painted with images of an owl. The hostess of the establishment is kindly called the Mother of the Sov. When you visit the museum, you and your children will be treated with free drinks: coffee, juice or tea, which you can slowly drink at the tables.
