It is known that the breed "skinny-pig" (bald guinea pigs) was born due to a random genetic mutation of guinea pigs more than 40 years ago, found in a Canadian laboratory. Then these pigs were born without a single hair, and scientists began to cross them with ordinary guinea pigs. So, the owner of the pig Pym - Jessica Pires, after the death of a domestic rat (also bald), wanted to make up for the loss, and began searching for a new bald pet.
Learning about the existence of the breed "skinny pig", the girl lost her legs and raised on the head of all the breeders in the Netherlands, while in her hands was not this babe!
"I only wanted such a pig and found it," the girl says. "And you know, Pym felt it." She is always ready to cuddle as soon as she sees me, and she also likes to fall asleep in my hands! "
The most surprising, but the difference between the breeds of ordinary and bald guinea pigs is not only in appearance. It turns out that skinny-pigs are much more gluttonous:
