Barbaris Admirayshn is an incredibly beautiful bush, compact and highly decorative. The plant first began to grow more than 100 years ago in Japan and China. For some time now it has become very popular in Russia. With its help decorate the landscapes of household plots, and I must say, the result exceeds all expectations.

Barbaris Tunberga Admiral - description

The leaves of this barberry variety have a bright coral color with a yellow border along the edge. The crown of the bush is dense and has the shape and appearance of a three-dimensional cushion. The blossom begins in May, the flowers are very attractive with their delicate pink color. In autumn, they are replaced by dark red berries.

Although the barberry of Tunberga Admiration and appeared only half a century ago in our latitudes, it is already incredibly popular. This is due not only to its decorative features, but also to the mass of advantages, such as endurance, frost resistance, unpretentiousness, simplicity of trimming. Also, the plant tolerates the drought well, and in general it is unpretentious in the care.

This barberry grows slowly, adding 10-20 cm per year annually. Ultimately, if properly trimmed, it forms a compact, round shrub in 40-50 cm in height and width.

Barbaris Admiration is sold in nurseries in special containers. Planting it is quite simple - you just need to pass the bush into the prepared pit. Land for planting should be loose and fertile to the same depth as the height of the container. Its composition is turfy ground, sand and humus (2: 1: 1). The hole after the planting can be covered and occasionally loosened.

You need to plant in open, sunny areas. Although the plant makes a shadow, but in this case it loses its decorativeness.

Watering should be done solely at the root. Barbaris does not like excessive humidity, so do not need it transfuse. Better let the earth dry out than it will resemble the marshland.

Feeding should be done twice a year, introducing mineral fertilizers or compost into the tree trunk. Cutting the bushes should be done in such a way that eventually formed a round crown. Although some gardeners prefer to leave everything as is, and the bushes look slightly shaggy and naturally attractive.

If you still want to crop, you need to do this in the early spring, before the plant "woke up" after the winter. In addition to forming pruning, it is necessary to remove diseased, dried, weak shoots.
