The central building of the monastery complex is the Intercession Cathedral of Suzdal, built in 1510-1514. It is a four-footed temple with a two-story open gallery, adjoining apses. Outside, the cathedral with white walls is decorated laconically: pilasters, frieze from arches and columns, keeled zakomars. The church crowns three chapters on drums with narrow windows.

Next to the cathedral stands a tent tower (XVI-XVII centuries) in the form of an octagon, connected to the cathedral by a covered gallery. On the north side of the Cathedral is the Zachatiev Refectory Church, built on the orders of Ivan the Terrible after the death of his daughter Anna. Nearby you can see and various auxiliary buildings: an orderly house, a kitchen, a cell building, warehouses of the end of the XVII century. Pokrovsky Women's Monastery in Suzdal is surrounded by a fence with octagonal towers with narrow loopholes. The entrance to the monastery complex was marked by the Holy Gates with the Blessed Resurrection Church (the beginning of the 16th century), which were used as a church and a fortress tower at the same time.
