Porch for summer residence

The porch for the dacha is a kind of visiting card of the whole building - by how accurately and attractively it looks, you can judge the whole house.

For a harmonious combination of the porch with the main structure, it is desirable that the material for it be identical to the one that went to the building of the house. It would be ridiculous to look like a smart brick porch against the background of a simple house made of wood , and vice versa - a wooden porch for a capital stone house does not fit.

But it is quite acceptable, especially if the porch is completed after the main structure has already been erected, to pick up a composition for it from various materials.

How can a summer porch look like?

For a small house in the country house, a wooden porch perfectly suits - it is easy to build, it does not require a foundation. This porch does not require additional finishing - it in itself, having a rather aesthetic appearance, will be an ornament of the house. The only drawback of this building material is low strength and strong influence of atmospheric precipitation, temperature changes.

To increase the service life of such a structure, the tree can be combined with metal, concrete, brick.

The porch for the dacha can also be made of metal - it is stronger and durable than wood: it does not crochet, it does not deform. A particularly attractive appearance has forged metal structures. It is also made of profiled pipes or of galvanized material. The problem is that this porch is hard to do by one's own hands - you need certain skills to work with metal and, at least, a welding machine.

In addition to the fact that the porch can be constructed of different materials, it can still be of a certain type: a structure that has walls and a canopy in which lighting and heating can be carried out is called closed.

So, a closed porch for cottages can be fully used as an additional living space, if dimensions allow, or as a utility room, especially if the porch is combined with a tambour.

The porch-gazebo for the dacha is an open area, located near the entrance to the house with one staircase in the middle, or two on each side. Such a building can be protected from the sides, it can be a great time for leisure and recreation, setting a sofa, table, chairs or chaise lounges.

The porch not only creates a common architectural ensemble with the house, but also protects it from cold and bad weather.
