Self leveling floor leveling device

Self-leveling (or self-leveling) floors are a product of modern technologies. Despite the fact that this material appeared on the construction markets relatively recently, it has already become popular both in European countries and in our country.

Self-leveling floor leveler is a blend of plasticizers made on the basis of gypsum or cement, which has increased strength and a long service life. Its use helps to get as a result a perfectly flat floor, without joints and seams, which will become the basis for all types of coatings.

Which router to choose?

Since uneven floors can have different problems, then the levelers for their elimination are different. Self-leveling floor mixtures are divided into two main categories: used in the draft phase and at the finish.

For the primary screed, a coarse thick-layer peeler can be used, it is applied in a thick layer, eliminates serious defects, aligns the differences in height, has large particles in its composition. The thickness of this layer can reach 5-8 mm.

To complete the work, a thin-layer finishing self-leveling floor leveler is used, which is applied to the primary screed after it has completely dried. The final leveler is laid more thinly, the layer is made 2-5 mm, it turns out smooth due to the fact that the mixture is based on fine fractions that do not have coarse particles. Finishing leveler is not designed for laying a thick layer, it will not withstand heavy loads and crack.

When using the final leveler, it is very important to follow all the rules specified in the instruction, this will ensure the convenience of using the mixture and the high quality of the result.

To decide which self-leveling floor leveler is best, you should consider in which room it will be operated. If there is high humidity in the room, fluctuations in the temperature regime (bathroom, kitchen, veranda , gazebo), then a mixture based on cement should be used. In such premises it is inadmissible to use mixtures based on gypsum, they will soften, lose strength. Gypsum-based gouging is only used in absolutely dry rooms.

When choosing the best floor leveler, it is necessary to take into account what the supporting base consists of: concrete, cement, wooden flooring, and also take into account the maximum load on the floor.
