The "black list" of the brothers Weinstein

Recently, Peter Jackson told about some "black list" of actresses, which was once given to him by Harvey Weinstein. The director, who gave the world a grandiose "Lord of the Rings", made a statement, which says that the brothers Weinstein had a list of actresses who fell into disgrace with the producers. Jackson calls him a "black list" of the victims, in which the names of such actresses as Ashley Judd and Mira Sorvino appear.

Disgraced actresses

Prior to the launch of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings projects, in 1998, Jackson gave Miramax studios plans for the upcoming films, to which the Weinstein brothers immediately gave the director a list of banned actresses, who were categorically not recommended to work:

"In this list I saw the name of Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd. Producers said then that I should avoid cooperation with these actresses at any cost. "

Both actresses at one time declared sexual harassment of the elder Weinstein, for which they fell out of favor with the producer. At that time, no one suspected what was happening in fact, and the director easily believed the respected representatives of the studio.

And only now, many years later, when the whole truth about the Weinstenes came to light, Jackson remembered this long history, which, in turn, was confirmed by Ashley Judd.

The actress said that such a case did take place in the 90s. The history with the "black list" is confirmed also by the director Terri Zvigoff, who proposed in 2003 for the role in his film "The Bad Santa" Mira Sorvino, whose candidacy was unequivocally rejected by the brothers Weinstein.
