Washing machine activator type

At the disposal of modern housewives dozens of household appliances that make it easier to manage and allow you to save valuable time for communication with friends, loved ones, relatives, for hobbies and any other pleasant pursuits. One of the most important household appliances are washing machines : automatic or activator, they greatly facilitate the life of housewives.

In this article we will talk about the activator washing machines, their types and the differences between them.

What is an "activator washing machine"?

All types of washing machines are divided into two classes: drum and activator. In activator machines, the laundry is mixed using a special movable shaft with blades - it is called an activator. This design has some disadvantages in comparison with the drum machines: greater water consumption, detergents, less careful washing and the complexity of machine automation. At the same time, there are also advantages - the activator washing machines are much more reliable than the drum ones, in addition, the prices for them are quite low.

Due to the fact that foaming is reduced in activator machines, detergents for hand washing can be used in them. On the body of the machine is a timer that allows you to set the duration of washing and spin (if the machine is equipped with a centrifuge).

When using any type of washing machines, do not forget about safety!

Types of activator washing machines

Activator washing machines can be semi-automatic or automatic. In the first case, you specify only the washing time, but for rinsing the laundry you have to manually get things out of the drum, change the water, re-load the laundry and run the rinse machine.

Pressing in activator machines can be done in two ways (depending on the type of machine). Activator washing machines with manual spinning are equipped with a squeezing device in the form of two rubber rollers fixed on the back wall of the machine. The rollers are arranged horizontally, close to each other. The size of the gap between the rollers is adjusted manually (by means of a special clamping screw). The lower roller is equipped with a handle (similar to the handle of a meat grinder), rotating which you set the device in motion. To wring out the laundry, you should place it between two rollers, adjust the pressure and rotate the knob on the lower roller to "scroll" the laundry between the rolls.

Activator washing machines with a centrifuge have two body compartments - a washing tub and a centrifuge for spinning. After washing and rinsing, the laundry was manually transferred to a centrifuge, the process of spinning was automatically carried out.

In some models of activator washing machines there are no devices for spinning at all. In this case, the laundry must either be manually squeezed or use separate household centrifuges or laundry dryers.
