And, in spite of everything, every such incredible event teaches us to believe in miracles, ourselves and our forces in the most extreme moments of life, and even inspires millions of people to a feat for the sake of life!

1. A climber who cut off his hand

4. Selfless Anna

When Candace Jennings Idaho rescued the dog Anna, taking her from the shelter, she had no idea that one day Anna would do the same. On a cold November morning of the year 2017 the dog woke Candice with her howls. It turned out that her trailer was enveloped in fire. In fear, the woman had no choice but to quickly run out into the street with the pet, but realizing that everything valuable remained burning, Candace ventured to return for things. And in vain - because of the acrid smoke, she could not find the way to the exit. But no, this is also a story of salvation with a happy ending - Anna came running to the trailer and led her mistress!

5. Miracle in the Andes

This is how events of almost half a century ago are described today, when Uruguay Airlines flight No. 571 with players of the rugby team, their families and friends crashed in the mountains. It is known that on board at that time there were 45 people, 10 of whom died at once, and the rest for almost 72 days had to survive in harsh conditions absolutely without food and water! But "to beat the death" once again did not all survivors, but only 16 passengers. The rest fell victim to hunger and snow avalanche. The saddest thing was that the time was passing, and it was no longer appropriate for the government to look for people. But these 16 "lucky ones" did not give up - without mountain gear and clothes they went for help, where, 12 days later they came across people and were saved!

6. The sky, purple with sadness

Unfortunately, the romantic trip on the route Tahiti - San Diego, which went to 23-year-old American Tami Ashcraft with the bride Richard Sharpe, the bride on a sailing ship, did not end with vows in front of the altar. Then a 21-meter wave of a sudden hurricane destroyed their boat, and with it dreams of a happy family life. Alas, when a day later the girl came to herself, she found that her boyfriend's rescue belt was torn. Tami had to survive and experience the grief alone. The girl dredged out all the water from the cabin, built a temporary mast and, guided by the stars, continued on her way. 41 days in the ocean with a minimum of water reserves, on peanut butter and with the remains of canned food, ended with a berth in the Hawaiian harbor of Hilo. 7. Confused at depth

One of the most terrible deaths - 33 miners from the Chilean city of Copiapo, when on Aug. 5, 2010 at the San Jose mine there was a rock fall, could be buried alive under the ground. It is still impossible to imagine how Darlene could so many days to be under ruins without food, water, and in fear of calling people to help? But most importantly - for the girl it all ended safely, and her salvation was broadcast even live on the whole world.

9. The girl from the well

As a one and a half year old, Jessica McClure fell into a well in her aunt's house near Midland (Texas, USA). Then the baby dislocated both legs, stuck in the well for 56 hours or almost 2 days! It is not surprising that the rescue operation caused such a resonance - while rescuers pulled out parallel holes to quickly get to Jessica, comforting or encouraging her with songs about Winnie the Pooh, the CNN television station shot everything that happens for the emergency news! 10. Alone in the jungle

In 1981, Yossi Ginsberg in the company of three other friends decided to find a tribe of Aborigines in the jungle of Bolivia. But, alas, after the first quarrel, the company broke in two, and Yossi, along with his partner, Kevin, changed the route by descending the river on a raft. But the irreparable happened - the swimming means of the guys came upon the threshold, after which Kevin was immediately thrown ashore, but Yossi was involved in the stream of the waterfall. In general, for the next three weeks, this guy tried to survive alone in the jungle as he could - he drank raw eggs of birds, extracted fruits and even fought off the jaguar with an insect spray, which he thought of setting fire to. "At some point I decided that I was ready for any suffering, but I will not give up!", The traveler recalls in his autobiographical book. You will not believe, but when Ginsberg still found a detachment of rescuers, a whole colony of termites already lived on his body burnt by the sun!
