Decorating wedding banquets with their own hands is very exciting. This is the decor of the wedding glasses and champagne, and the design of the wedding invitations and, of course, the decoration of the banquet hall and the wedding transport. Today we will consider a master class on how to make a big bow on the machine with our own hands.
How to sew and attach a bow to the wedding car?
1. Prepare two cuts of satin fabric with contrasting shades. It is better to use white, pink, lilac or red colors. The dimensions of the fabric are approximately as follows: large - 70x150 cm, small - 50x100 cm. Sew them separately in two double canvases reminiscent of duvet covers, and then turn out from the wrong side of the face. Sew a small "duvet cover" to a large secret stitches in the corners.
2. Sew both parts into one piece. To begin with, it's better to swing by hand, pulling the bow in the middle. Then stitch along the same line on the sewing machine. To do this, first greatly increase the tension of the upper thread, and the machine itself pulls the product into a beautiful bow. Align all wrinkles and corners, fix the thread at the beginning and end of the line from the wrong side. The base of the bow is ready!
3. We make the second bow - from tulle. Cut two stripes of tulle in the same sizes as the satin in paragraph 1. Fold them together and wrap around the narrow part of the bow, then tightly knit with a double knot. From above attach a narrow satin ribbon of the same shade: it will be needed to fix a bouquet of the bride on a bow.
4. The diagram shows the places where you want to sew the product:
- A dashed stitch marks the seam that collects the rectangles of fabric into the bow;
- straight lines show the places where the "duvet covers" were turned from the wrong side to the front;
- red squares symbolize the places in which the white part of the bow is sewn to the lilac;
- Suction cups sewn on the wrong side are marked with circles. They are almost from the edge, but so that they can not be seen from the front side.
5. That's what a bridal bouquet looks like, which you need to firmly fix with two satin ribbons on a bow. The upper ribbon bind the bouquet at the base, and the bottom - the stem of the bouquet, so that it keeps upright.
How now to tie this bow to the car? You will need several long wide satin ribbons in tone. Initially, you need to fix one tape on the trunk or on the hood (depending on the location of the bow on the car). Then gently tie the ribbon to this tape and fix it on the machine using four suction cups. They are attached to the clean and wet surface of the car. Correctly fixed suckers will hold well to the wedding car.
