Gurami prefers the middle and upper layers of the water of the home mini-reservoir, this is explained by the construction of respiratory organs, which represent the gill labyrinth. The most common diseases of fish are gourami:

  1. Lymphocystosis. This disease can easily be diagnosed by the appearance on the body of fish open wounds, grayish nodules or flat growths of black color. The zones around the affected sites with gourami slightly inflate. Most often the sick fish looks like sprinkled with semolina.
  2. Pseudomonosis. The disease manifests itself in the form of dark spots, rapidly turning into red ulcers. Through them, gourami can get an infection, for example, saprolegnosis.
  3. Aeromonosis is a disease that mainly falls on pearl and other types of gurus with food. First of all, weakened fish can be weakened in overpopulated aquariums. At the initial stage of the disease, the scales in the gourami rises to the top. Then the fish stop eating, become inactive, lie down on the ground. The diagnosis is absolutely correct if the gums have swollen abdomen and blood stains have appeared on it. Recovery is possible with proper treatment and care.
