Eustachyte - treatment

Despite the fact that eustachyte is virtually painless on the background of inflammatory or allergic diseases of the nasopharynx, its treatment must be taken seriously enough. Such a disease is fraught with deafness, and in case of its transition to a chronic form - and hearing loss.

The main stages of eustachyte treatment

When an acute eustachiitis occurs, treatment begins by determining the cause of its occurrence.

If the eustachiosis is caused by an infectious disease of the nasopharynx, then the treatment begins with the elimination of the underlying cause. For the treatment of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, and tonsillitis, complex treatment with antiviral drugs, antiseptic drugs for the removal of throat inflammation, antihistaminic and vasoconstrictive to treat nasopharyngeal edema is used. For the treatment of eustachitis, the administration of antibiotic sulfanilomide group is possible.

Treatment of eustachyitis caused by an allergic reaction in the form of rhinitis begins with the removal of edema with drops (nasivin, naphthyzine, tizin, etc.) and antihistamines (claritin, diazolin, suprastin).

The diagnosis of eustachyitis can also be made as a result of anatomical disorders of the nasopharynx - the appearance of tumors or polyps, the presence of adenoids, fracture of the nose and curvature of the septum. Such causes are excluded with the help of surgical intervention.

As a rule, the treatment of acute eustachiitis is a rather rapid process, the removal of symptoms and complete recovery occurs within a few days. In the chronic course of the disease, additional procedures are used:

  1. Blowing the ear - helps to spread the membrane and restore the patency.
  2. Pneumomassage - restores elasticity and mobility of the tympanic membrane.
  3. Physiotherapy - increase the effectiveness of treatment and contribute to a more rapid recovery.

Eustachyte treatment usually takes place at home and does not require hospitalization.
