Croissants with cheese

Croissants are very popular buns in France, that is, as it were, a kind of symbol of this beautiful country. These small confectionery products in the form of a bagel from a puff pastry or a yeast dough will perfectly suit any table. Croissants are without a filling, and there are also with various sweet and savory fillers. But we will stop today on the preparation of croissants with cheese.

Preparation

The recipe for cooking a croissant with cheese is quite simple and does not take much time from you. So, take first all the cheese and rub it on a small grater. Next turn the ham. We cut it finely with fine straws and mix it with cheese. Add black ground pepper and salt to taste.

Then gently remove the defrosted puff pastry from the package and roll it into a layer about 0.5 cm thick with a rolling pin. We cut it into 2 strips with a knife and then cut into small triangles.

Now, on each edge of the base we put the prepared stuffing and twist, starting from the side of the ham to the upper acute corner of the triangle. After twisting, carefully bend the bun, giving it a crescent shape.

The resulting cheese croissants are laid out on a greased baking sheet and even over the top with an egg yolk. Next, send the croissants in a preheated oven to 150 ° C for about 20 minutes and bake until a ruddy, mouth-watering crust appears.

Ready croissants and cheese are laid out on a flat plate or wicker basket, laid with a clean cloth. We serve aromatic baked goods slightly cooled. They can be safely prepared with tea, coffee or cocoa.
